Compassionate Care for Survivors and Families

The mission of Taking Back Hope, Inc. is to promote the emotional well-being of individuals and families in the Las Vegas, NV, and the surrounding areas in the Clark County community affected by sexual abuse, domestic violence, trauma, abuse/neglect, and sexual exploitation. We are committed to providing accessible, quality services for primary and secondary victims affected by trauma or sexual violence/abuse, utilizing an approach which emphasizes confidentiality, safety, trust, respect, and compassion. TBH focuses on supporting, re-integrating, and enhancing an individual’s ability to heal from the physical and emotional effects from trauma, sexual abuse/violence. We will provide several different types of programs to meet the mission and goals of the agency.

Our Services

Mental Health

Individual, family, and group therapy. We provide psycho-educational groups regarding sexual violence and prevention.  All of our mental health services are provided by licensed professionals who donate their time and services to the agency.

Educational Support

We strive to offer support to students who are struggling academically or are deficit in some way.  We also support those who are academically strong as well in setting academic and life goals. We have a master’s level state certified educator on staff. Our educator works with our youth to enhance their academic skills and challenge them mentally. We can collaborate with CCSD with the proper consents signed.

Health and Wellness

Focus is to enhance ones self-image and physical health, while learning positive lifestyle skills; like health diet, exercise, and healthy body image. We will also address the issues of obesity, provide education about the female body, reproduction, effects of chronic stress, and encourage physical activity and good nutrition. A state certified trainer will work with clients to develop positive exercise regimen, in addition to the above.

Prevention and Support

Focus is to provide education and prevention services to at risk youth, their families, and community members/partners surrounding the issues of domestic violence, sexual abuse, abuse/neglect, and sexual exploitation. We provide weekly support groups and psycho-educational groups to the community.

Dance/Music Therapy

This is a work in progress as we are securing funding for a dance teacher and installation of professional music studio in the center. The focus will be to utilize dance and music to address the emotional/psychological, cognitive, physical, and social needs of the client. Youth get to enjoy dancing, developing routines, and learning how to dance, while being a part of a team.

In addition to these services we utilize gender specific programming in the delivery of our services.
